That's true, there's also this beautiful hadith from Abu Dawood mentions a woman (Asma') coming to the Prophet wearing thin clothes, and the Prophet turning away from her and saying, "O Asma', when a woman reaches puberty, nothing should be seen of her except her face and hands. " ... Also another hadith narrated by Safiya bint Shaiba, this Hadith describes how women, upon receiving the Quranic verse about drawing veils over their necks and bosoms, cut their waist sheets and used them to cover their heads right away. This Hadith is often cited to show the early Muslims' understanding and implementation of the hijab.
