AI is starting to feel like the Vinyl vs Digital debate in the music world. The pleasebro’s all see AI as a way to slack off as they don’t care how bad the product turns out, the old timers see AI as the devil especially given how often it gets comment moderation wrong. I know several companies already struggling because of going nuts deep into AI and laying off actual devs and replacing with vibe coders.

My boss just told me I need to speed up and start using AI. He told me he has built multiple flask sites in 2 hrs by using Grok. He is using those sites to help senior leadership make decisions. He posted on social media last month he hasn't programmed without AI building it for him in a year

I am a salesman at a tech company I wasn't working for 3,5 months there and ppl asked me stuff, now they ask me I tell them and 2 mins later they come to me and tell me gpt told me ppl say this about that and it's maybe not that good as I told them but also it's not absolute clear what is good or not and I thought yea that's why I am here and if is my job to know. at the end they trusted my experience and bought the rly better product. otherwise they would have payed more for less function and I always want my costumers to be happy with what I sell and it has to do what they want the best not be the highest price that's bs.
