@jennaljennings: Y’all, I can’t take these tantrums seriously. Like why are the terrible 2s starting at 17 months 😩😩 #family #atx #austin #texas #fyp #baby #toddler #mama #mom #motherhood #firsttimemom #parenting #terribletwos #drama
Discipline is not abuse, gentle parenting doesn’t work

when my daughter started with this is grabbed he hand walked her to her room and 1told her "mommy doesn't wNt to hear you screaming, when you are ready to be a good girl you come out" I'd leave the door slightly open. Then she walked out proceeded to throw herself on the floor screaming! I just walked her back to the room...2 more times and the 3rd time...she was good. Good luck it's hard but if you let it go it will get worse. 👍

Walk away slowly 😂… once her audience it’s gone the act is over… I do give her an Emmy for her performance on this drama series…

The amount of comments suggesting you're setting your SEVENTEEN MONTH OLD daughter up to be difficult when she's a teenager is sad. This is why we have so many adults that don't understand emotional regulation, poor coping skills, and never learn to verbalize their feelings. They take the "easy" and most "convenient" way for THEM to be in the situation. Many commented saying to send the children away until they're not crying. This child has NO tools in their toolbox to learn how to cope with big emotions yet you expect them to just learn it? No, what they learn is that they're only accepted by people with if they're quiet and comply.

You just have to let her go through what she has to go through and leave her alone. She will calm down by herself. You keep talking to her. She will keep crying. Trust me I had two boys.

Seems to help break the tantrum when the parent throws themselves in the ground and starts screaming and asks what are we screaming about. it surprises them and you can turn it into a game and a conversation

Yeah, the parents nowadays call it soft parenting they just need to get a grip and teach these kids then they’ll have some respect
