Absolutely hate these, especially the AB Statix 5700 version. In 90% of applications these are used, they are completely unnecessary, and can be replaced with a good unmanaged switch and a NATR, for alot less $ and headache.

That patch cable should be labeled for example Device ID - Port X it makes life so much simpler for everyone.

You can diagnose bad ports in the office by using a jumper cable to connect two ports together.

This happen at work recently where there was a communication issue , the technician reset the ORing switch and all the port set to default, so I had to teach them the correct SOP
