I know I’m in the minority on this but I like the rule. Golf to me is more than just playing the course. You are also playing the conditions. Divots are a part of the game and therefore have an impact on course conditions. Getting unlucky or lucky bounces is a part of the game. If you are just playing for fun tho do whatever makes you happy
