@sedxedts: 🌑 The Witch’s Cycle: A Re:Zero Fan Theory In a distant future, Satella — the Witch of Envy — is finally defeated. With her demise, Subaru’s “Return by Death” ability vanishes. Having endured countless deaths, losses, and rebirths, Subaru is no longer the naive boy he once was. He is a man molded by despair, trauma, and sacrifice. But once he loses his ability, he eventually meets a true, permanent death. No resets. No more returns. And Emilia — the girl who loved him more than anyone, who witnessed his pain, his kindness, his endless efforts — shatters. Her world collapses. With Subaru gone and nothing left, Emilia falls into despair. Her grief consumes her heart, and in a final act of madness and love, she turns to forbidden magic. That magic twists her soul… and she becomes Satella — the very witch that would one day be feared and sealed away. But Emilia, now Satella, refuses to let Subaru go. She finds a way to bring him back from death… back into her world. She grants him the power of Return by Death — a curse and a gift — so he can never truly leave her again. This begins the loop. Subaru, unaware of the truth, continues to live, die, and restart — never realizing that the one who granted him this cruel power was the woman who loved him so deeply that she became a monster to see him again. Satella does not hate him. She adores him. Every time she chases him, consumes the world, or weeps in his presence, it is from love twisted by endless solitude and agony. She watches him from beyond space and time. She brought him back. Again. And again. And again. The cycle exists because Subaru died… And Emilia couldn’t let go. --- Supporting Clues: Before becoming the Witch of Envy, Satella was kind, gentle, and loved nature and people — much like Emilia. She lived away from others because she was a half-elf, shunned and feared. Subaru was the only person who truly accepted and cherished Emilia — which is why his loss breaks her. Once Emilia loses everything, she uses forbidden powers to bring Subaru back and grants him Return by Death, unknowingly creating a fate where she becomes the very witch others would seal away. In every loop, Satella’s presence is not out of hatred, but a desperate, distorted love. --- Conclusion: This is not a story of just looping time. It’s a tragedy born of love, loss, and obsession. Subaru’s curse… is the proof that someone loved him too much to ever say goodbye. #rezero #subaru #anime #theory #edit #rezeroedit #fyp

Soufyann😝 :

emilia is DEFINITELY the witch of envy she looks exactly like her and satella loves subaru just like emilia does and if yall remember if the first episode emilia told subaru that her name is satella

Ω :

so your basically saying that whole story is a time paradox?

herstal :

nah ts is actually a crazy theory 🙏

ilove6zachi :

makes sense tbh because at the start of ep1 the return by death sound played which probably means hes died before

Ahmed Ghouse :

This ain't theory it's spoiler

. :

what if Al is future subaru💀

2u :

Emilia is not a envy witch. She is the daughter of the envy witch Satilla. She is a same offspring. Her mother gave birth to her and left. Emilia only knows her mother's name and said her mother's name in season 1.

ron :

Okay, where the fuck does Flugel play into this. So many plotholes in this one theory. How would Emilia even get her authority? Regardless, it would still not explain why Shaula believes Subaru is Flugel.

NaviKotik :

A cool theory, but prob manga creators won't do that

tststststs :

mind blowing 🤯 i mean it can be true

ver17077 :

While the theory is interesting, I feel like there are some flaws such as the fact that Emilia and Satella are two different people

エヌピー :

Lyan :

witch of envy and satella is not the same person

Sol :

actually, this is a proven matter, this is a cool theory, but isnt return by death is just subaru returning into a certain point in time changing dimensions, which means his old dead self is still dead but his conscious transfers through dimensions into the past dimension, we saw this in the sanctuary when subaru undergoes the trial, he saw each dimension of himself, and the others griefing over him, when rem died and he stabbed his throat, etc.., so does that mean that satella was created in separate spaces of time which means there are multiple satellas in multiple different dimensions, if that was true then there will also be many Subarus, which leaves the question, who is the real subaru, who transfers consciousness into the other subarus who are living in different dimensions, and which satella brought him, and if there was really multiple satellas, why is there only one subaru who transfers consciousness, which can possibly mean that satella isnt Emilia, she is satella, the witch of envy.
