Your pay structure can change if you find a good shop. I’m currently salary with a production bonus for billing over 40. I know a lot of shops switching to that style pay plan.

I've been at a flat rate and I've been salary+commission. doesn't really matter to me. you do for a fact make less flat rate. but i'm one of the few that enjoy my career.

pay structure will change, when you smarten up and leave the trade, the skills we have as techs are so transferable you can be making way more money doing way easier jobs..... trust me, the grass is absolutely greener
