I know some norwegians who studied in america. The worst part for them was that every day is the same. Same classes, same lenghts of the day, no at school at all. The grading was not the issue, we get graded too on those things, europe is an entire continent, school works dif for dif countries. One of the guys i know who studied there had to spend his entire summer vecation studying in order to actually pass his grade back in norway cus he essentually learned nothing, and would have not understood anything of what was happening when he got back to norway.. he was in collage. School systems here also work dif, in norway you have child school grade 1-7 , teen school from grade 8-10, futher (?) school from grade 11-12 or 13 years in school and then usually 2 years of work training, then, if you are going to do any futher education, you do high school or higher school, aka, college. You have free education form grades 1-10. You choose what you want to become at in 10th grade, the year you turn 16. school lunch breaks here are also between 20 to 30 min. We learn 2-3 languages from grades 1-7 and then take those and add a 4rth language from grade 8-10 ( the languages being norwegian, english, new norwegian ( the old norwegain, it is infact a seperate language ) and then you pick between deeper english, spanish, german or france ). A huge dif tho is how a school week looks, we have 2 mid long days ( monday and friday ), 2 long days ( tirsday and thusaday ) and a short day ( wednesday ). We have dif classes everyday, some days have math, some have sciance, some have norwegian, some have art, some have gym, etc. From what the ppl i know who went to study in america, it is difficult cus you learn nothing and the educational system is insanly boring and repetetive, only training you to take tests, not actually learning anything. Its not harder, its just a worse education system that makes it harder to learn anything.

As a German that spent a whole year at an American High School: no, it is not harder. Yes, lots of stuff is graded and yes sports practice starts early. But come on, I was on top of my class in almost every class and that included English(!) which is NOT my native language

So...normal life? You think Europeans don't have hobbies? Or work part-time? Check out Italian or French school culture. Only thing working hard in american schools are the firing pins

🔥 Stop destroying your eyes without realizing it! 👁️👇 I'm Dr. Zhu. As an ophthalmologist, I see people making simple daily mistakes that silently damage their vision. Protecting your eyes starts with small, consistent habits! 👓✨ 1️⃣ Follow the 20-20-20 Rule 💻 — Every 20 minutes of screen time, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds to reduce digital eye strain. 2️⃣ Never Sleep in Contact Lenses 🛑 — Sleeping in contacts cuts off oxygen to your cornea and drastically increases your risk of severe eye infections. 3️⃣ Wear UV-Blocking Sunglasses 🕶️ — Protect your eyes from UV rays that cause cataracts and macular degeneration (even on cloudy days!). 4️⃣ Keep Eyes Hydrated & Blink Often 💧 — Staring at screens reduces your blink rate by half, leading to dry, irritated eyes. Use preservative-free artificial tears when needed. 5️⃣ Schedule Regular Comprehensive Eye Exams 🩺 — Many serious eye conditions have no early warning signs; early detection is key to saving your sight! 6️⃣ Remove Eye Makeup Before Bed 🧼 — Leaving mascara or eyeliner on overnight can clog the meibomian glands along your eyelids, causing painful styes, dry eye, and inflammation. 7️⃣ Eat Eye-Healthy Foods 🥕 — Fuel your eyes with lutein, zeaxanthin, and omega-3s found in leafy greens, carrots, and fatty fish to protect your retina. 8️⃣ Adjust Your Screen Lighting & Position ☀️ — Keep screens at arm’s length, slightly below eye level, and reduce ambient glare to minimize eye strain and fatigue. 9️⃣ Quit Smoking 🚭 — Smoking directly increases your risk of developing age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and optic nerve damage. 🔟 Never Rub Your Eyes🚫 — Persistent eye rubbing can weaken and warp your cornea over time (leading to keratoconus) and push surface bacteria deeper into your eye. 💡 Pro Tip: Never clean contact lens cases with tap water: always use fresh, sterile solution, and replace the case every 1 to 3 months! 🚿🚫 💬 Which of these 10 habits do you need to work on the most?
