The real question is why would NASA (or others) lie about a flat Earth? If it were flat, that's fine too. Who cares? Science is about discovery, proof, and transparent thinking so others can calculate it. It really doesn't matter if the Earth is flat or spherical. However, there's far too much controversy for a sphere and zero for a flat Earth.

its easy to proove that the earth is a sphere: take a video over night of the stars in northern hemisphere, watch it fast forward. take a flight to the southern hemisphere (or the other way around, depends where you live) make the same video there, watch fast forward. you will see the stars in northern hemisphere turning clockwise and in the southern hemisphere counterclockwise, now think, is this possible on a flat plane? it isnt. its only possible if you are on a sphere. i did it on a safari trip to africa, you also can see the southern cross there, i cant see it from switzerland... its easy proove. everyone can do it. no offend.
