I was an exchange student in Utah in 1999-2000. The kids in the family really became like my siblings and I’m still in contact with the family. I’ve visited a couple of times. It was an awesome year!

As teenager, 10 years ago I really wanted to do an exchange year, but I did not had the possibility. Last year I went on an internship abroad for 5 months. What I can say, if you have the possibility to go a period abroad during school/study please go, you learn so much from another culture, and being away from your family

My husband and I started hosting when we were only 22 and 25 :-) everyone thought we were crazy but it’s SO FUN being young host parents with no kids of our own! Just sent our third kiddo home ❤️🌎
