He showed up wounded and self aware telling me all the things he learnt in therapy. My broken self thought oh your broken I’m broken too we can help each other ✨🤭 he kept telling I was the kindest person he had ever met and it was his job to never make me cry. He was the worst person to me 😭

Yes! Every word, spot on. He even admitted it himself, that he thought that being with me would fix/take away his internal anger and was so clearly dissapointed - at me - when it didnt work. Then he discarded me so hard when i got diagnosed with depression and for the ’first time’ in our relationship needed him to show up for me.

Exactly what happened to me. My ex would drink heavily and ask me to drop everything and drive to him late at night and save him, over and over. It was utterly draining and toxic. If I didn’t drop everything he would send me a horrific message and block me, then unblock me. I’m finally moving on from him, but it’s been horrendous.
