@indiabridges: I’m not putting thread and needle through new growth where the braid is no longer attached to the scalp. It’s just simply time to take it out when your hair is grown out and hanging on. #fyp #houstonhairstylist #houstonhair #hairtok #tiktokpartner #houstonhairstylists
say it louder😂 for the people in the back …. so many people be requesting this …. they want for you to create a new anchor braid and sew the older part onto the anchor braid … but if that wasn’t planned during initial install there’s not enough leave out for a healthy anchor braid so it’s damaging

FINALLY someone said it!!! I keep telling ppl this, it don’t make sense. The looseness is from your braids growing out. The only way to “tighten” that is to rebraid the foundation, which is a new install 🤦🏾♀️

Agreed, after 2-3 months ( no longer!) time to take down shampoo and re-do!

U can add an anchor braid around leave out perimeter and sew old braids to it. It’s a “lift”

It was created to make people feel better about the 150 sew in to make it last longer. exhausting I’m so glad you said it

I’ve been seeing so many “techniques” that don’t really make sense and/or seem unhealthy for the client’s hair. This one checked both boxes. 😂

My stylist used to take all of the tracks off and then sew them back on in the same place and she replaced the net. Along with touching up the perimeter.

I do this…and it’s always new growth. I’m at a point where I no longer want to offer that service.

I think the concept came from clients trying to reduce their costs. At $600-$800 per install some are trying to reduce their costs and time spent. 👍

The one time I did that I believe it was the cause of the damage I had. I had to do the big chop all over again 😢
