It’s not that it prevents them from learning to swim puddle jumpers are bad for teaching kids body the position for drowning

well it wouldn't prevent them from learning. it just gets them used to being in unnatural swimming position. glad ya'll had fun.

I’m a swim coach those are pedal jumpers we don’t recommend because it keeps them to have there feet down where as if they are in the water and can’t touch it doesn’t teach them to put there legs out to help keep them up

as long as the floats are coast guard approved they are perfectly fine!!! and it does help with motion and getting comfortable in the water
