If you are an extrovert, you just may consider the rightmost seat in the 3seat combination on the left. That will allow you to sit with noone beside you and nobody facing you. But take care not to look at the person already seated.

If it were emergency, it might be ok to sit on the first three empty seats, but only on the left seat nearest to the corridor. If not absolutely necessary, I’d just stand the whole time.

This is not true... There is a bus rule that works the same way as electrons in atoms... We pick a free group if there is one, then where there is no such free we take the end of the three seater leaving one seat in between, then the opposite side, and when there are no seats where you can get 1 seat away we start filling up the rest... and that is acceptable. Whats not acceptable is sitting next to someone when there are available free groups 🤯
