For me, entertainment without loved ones feels overrated. If I have a free day, I’d rather spend it reading Scripture, praying, listening to sermons, or reading a good spiritual book—things that help me grow as the leader of my home. Even having a good rest or sleep feels more worthwhile than gaming or watching a movie alone. That said, I truly enjoyed your cooking and had a peaceful time enjoying your meal. Movies and games don’t feel as meaningful, especially when done alone, and even more so if you have a family. That’s just my perspective, though—I’m not claiming to know better than you.
