Coaching in schools is incredibly political. Usually the boys coaches are people who are deemed as having more experience. They don’t just flip flop coaches for the sake of keeping genders the same. - Someone who’s coached in public high schools.

A lot of times the boys teams coaches get paid more than Women’s teams. If she has more seniority, she would choose the higher pay. Obviously, she had other motives, but that’s why people want to coach the boys teams at the school I work at.

Mike probably knew the victims name, because Christina was so obsessed w the kid, she probably gushed about him a lot. He obviously was her favorite so she talked him up a lot to Mike. That’s how he’d remember the name.

Me being someone who has played soccer her whole life, the coach thing is not uncommon or weird. Him knowing the boy after only playing for one year is a little more strange, but he did have a brother she also coached so not as weird when you know of the siblings too.

as a teacher I can tell you rn even the kids who stay after school for extra help and send emails every day my man would not ever be able to name them or pick them out of a lineup…the best he’s got is “the twins” (students I have had for 4 years) he still only knows them as “twins” and does not even know what they look like other than being twins

I swear there’s something with the Soccer coaches at DGS. I graduated from there in 04 and I remember one of the soccer coaches got in trouble for being inappropriate with the girls. He coached the girls team.

Plot twist… There was a male soccer coach that was arrested for similar things against his female team mates and is now sentenced to 19 years in prison from this exact same school💀
