I feel like schools don’t realise the more restrictive rules you give to teenagers the more they act out. If you constantly punish them and restrict everything they do it just makes them behave worse

The reason schools and teachers have such a hard time, if parents can’t get on board with the school rules and just laugh at them, then the child will have no respect for the teachers and rules.

Whilst children should be supported to catch up on classes they’ve missed, it’s extremely punitive to make them stay after school for being sick. It disadvantages disabled pupils and those who do just get sick more than others. Completely disagree with such restrictive practices.

Hair one makes sense, so does no phone (my son leaves his at home because he has no reason for it at school). Don’t see what’s wrong with kids catching up on work they’ve missed either, I missed a lot of school as a child due to illness and always caught up.

The curriculum is boring , children are not engaging because it’s not fit for purpose . Behaviour is an issue because there is little point in most children being there
