I took the AANP bc the ANCC was taking forever to send the ATT...I passed on the 1st try. I just did Pocket Prep and the purple book for 3 weeks.

My questions is are the ANCC/AANP the same for the other APRN? (Not CRNA). Well mainly the Clinical nurse specialist CNS. Because i know in some states they have the same practice rights as a NP with DX and prescribing?

When you apply for jobs, nobody actually cares what exam you take oddly enough. I took AANP and just got into teaching 🤷♀️good luck !!

FNP for 24 years. Just completed PMHNP certification by AANP…purely clinical content. No theory no profession practice questions. Ironically, as of right now, head start credentialing organizations…ie Headway, Alma will not credential AANP certified PMHNP’s. AANP says they are working on it 🤷🏻♀️
