@coaching.gifted: The most important sign of high intelligence is the ability think and process large amounts of information very fast and accurately. The amount of information is so large that sometimes it takes a bit of time to get to response or the solution. This is the reason why some highly intelligent individuals don’t really think they are highly intelligent but it’s only because they don’t realise that the amount of information they are processing is much larger than what an average person would process. #highintelligence #highlyintelligent

I have diagnoses incl giftedness, autism and ADHD & only came to realise recently I’m incredibly slow at processing some things, namely emotions (can take years!). But also yeah, now u mention it, am incredibly fast at grasping difficult concepts others seem to struggle with. Maybe thats part of AuDHD/giftedness - logic centres are overdeveloped? Why do I have such extreme emotions sometimes tho but cant process why til ages later?

Is it possible for someone to be highly intelligent but be an intense failure in one subject? For instance if someone was highly clever/quick at processing info in most subjects but had a huge deficiency in a subject like math for instance?

Can you speak about how intelligent people feel? Are they more touched by desasters, war, insults or do they feel more/less, what are your experiences?

Calculating perspectives, possibilities, and probabilities. It can take a min! Not to mention the details the subconscious picks up.

something that doesn't get talked about enough, or ever really for that matter, is highly intelligent people tripping over their words because their brain works faster than their mouth and they are already on the next sentence in their mind before they finish saying the first one and they can stumble on their words. if you ever meet a smart person that talks slow, it's a learned thing for this very reason.

Started to think about the universe and everything inside it. Stoped when I started reading about quantum theory, it didn’t add up. Then many years later I saw a vertical asymptote. Focused on the vertical asymptotecalled the vacuum speed of light. Made a model of the universe. Science told me I was wrong. Now with the new James Webb, science starts to see the universe more like me.

That's so true. I would also add the information about thinking in many languages at once. People who are highly intelligent often learn from different sources, so they might answer in a mix of words, especially if the answer is quickly expected. I do that.

I never used to study history. I'd only have to learn the dates if they were too specific, but the events I'd visualize like a movie as the teacher explained. I was useless in maths and chemistry they just didnt interest me. im just a SILVER FOX
