Funny how all the new meters are saying everyone owes more, you have cases from the same power company with new meters charging 500 percent increase. It's never the meters it's always the customer.

Put a pad lock on the meter and notify the electric company if the need access to the meter you will be happy to unlock it for them.

You should be able to recieve email notifications on usage alerts on your account. I can log into my account and daily see what has been used and the amount spent.
