@infantilespasms: Both my sons developed jerking movements (myoclonus) right after birth. We trusted the doctors, who said it was just "sleep jerks" and nothing to worry about. But they were wrong. After 3 months, the jerks changed into seizures, and later into Infantile Spasms — a dangerous but treatable brain condition. Sadly, my first son was misdiagnosed for too long. He never received the proper frontline medicines. His spasms continued, and he couldn't develop like other children. We lost him at just 2.5 years of age — a heartbreaking result of late diagnosis. My second son also went through the same journey, but now we’re fighting harder with the right treatment. 💔 Please don’t ignore early jerks in newborns. ❗ Always ask for an EEG and rule out Infantile Spasms early. ✨ Early diagnosis can save a child’s life and future. #InfantileSpasms #Myoclonus #SeizuresInBabies #ISAwareness #EEGTest #Misdiagnosis #EarlyIntervention #EpilepsyAwareness #PurpleForIS
