She was skinny, scared, and fiercely protective of her tiny puppies. They were huddled close to her, weak and cold, barely hanging on to life. But even in her own suffering, Nala’s eyes were full of love. She had done everything she could to keep her babies alive. We couldn’t leave them there. So we brought Nala and her little ones into our care, and that’s when their journey to healing began. Slowly, with love, food, and medical attention, they started to recover. We saw tails begin to wag, tiny barks of joy, and playful little hops as the puppies grew stronger each day. But the truth is, Nala and her babies still rely on us — and we rely on you. Every meal they eat, every warm blanket they curl up in, every vaccine that protects them from disease — it’s all made possible through the kindness of people like you.
