Matcha produced from Shizuoka grown tea leaves are usually a bit yellowish and sour in taste. I've visited Shizuoka before and most of them were like that

Check out local tea-shops! I went to one and got really amazing matcha for around 20€- very similar to ones I bought in Japan :)

used that one too until i realized it's classic grade which is meant for cooking 😭 the taste isn't so strong so you'd have to add wayyy more than usually

I tried the one in the green package with the orange rectangle in the middle, didn't really like it. They put brown rice into the matcha as well, which you can taste strongly. But some might like it tho

Most supermarket matcha is just cooking grade… I get ceremonial matcha from @Matcha & Greens 🍵 and it’s a game changer. You have to try it! 💚🍵
