Many folks haven't been in practice long enough to experience audits and clawbacks. Many of them are coding based on how much they're trying to earn out of the visit and NOT based on the actual DOCUMENTED services they're providing. Eventually they'll learn when one bad audit triggers a chain of audits and they end up owing tens of thousands of dollars

Sure, even if they pay, it's not much. And it's still a pain in the ass to try and collect. You need an extra staff member to manage billing, cutting into the already anemic payments.
