Many women don’t tell other women the truth about themselves because they fear being seen as judgmental, losing the friendship, or triggering insecurities. Instead of offering honesty, they choose comfort — even if it means watching someone repeat self-destructive patterns. Sometimes it’s rooted in competition, silence, or unspoken envy; other times it’s because they don’t want to hold a mirror to their own flaws. But real sisterhood isn’t about sugarcoating — it’s about love with accountability. Sadly, too often, women protect each other’s feelings instead of protecting each other’s growth.
