I had hermit crabs when I was pretty young and I did all the research myself and it changed my brain chemistry knowing no one will care enough to take proper care of them 😭 I absolutely love that I came across your account as an adult

My family has had our hermit crabs FOREVER! I’ve been slowly convincing my parents to add more enrichment to their enclosure so now they have inches of substrate (multiple types), fresh and salt water pools, hides, climbs, live plants, and a saucer wheel! I’d love more ideas!

how do you tell if a hermit crabs tank is molting, i just got a hermit crab and i had him in a ppds tank but he burrowed in the sand and hasn’t moved from there since the morning i know he’s alive bc the sand was moving but what do i do i don’t think he’s strong enough to molt yet

had my peatree for 21 years and went to have my baby and my sister in law let her child get him out and throw him on the ground and didn't tell me and he passed I was so broken had him since I was 6
