same situation with Chiari. It was actually the Veterinarian that I worked for, in 1998, who urged me to keep pushing the Neurologist to rule out Chiari & EDS. 6 months later I almost died during emergency brain surgery

Serious question for you: I have EDS, Chiari, POTS and Dysautonomia. It’s been ROUGH over the years, but I feel AMAZING at high altitudes. I spend two weeks every year in Salt Lake City and the higher I go in the canyons, the better I feel! Like, I can breathe, hike, adventure and feel super human there! Also my little Shih Tzu has some wild similarities to me… vet told me she was hypermobile, but this blows my mind 😳

Many “Pitbull types” of dog breeds have hyper flexible joints (laying down with front legs and back legs stretched all the way out), soft, stretchy skin, allergies, digestive issues…I swear my dog has it too. We are EDS twins.

Could it be in cats too? I’ve noticed for a while now at least one of my cats seems to show signs of it (I also have EDS lol)
