@reel.takes: Replying to @Oscar David Corenswet taking the reins of Superman at this moment becomes even more powerful given the message of the film. #superman #davidcorenswet #justiceleague #dccomics #dc #movie #movietok #film #filmtok

M. Marmalade :

please don't be zio please don't be zio

Turkeymaster123 :

Zio actors making a pro Palestine film …. The irony

artofeltopo :

this movie isn't subtle at all about being anti Israel

ceoofsidequests :

I love James Gunn even more now.

FlatBillMaximilian🇵🇸 :

David is a Jewish man who agreed to be in a movie with not-at-all-subtle anti-Israel themes. Respect.

Lu :

Isn’t Rachel also associated with playing a Jewish character in Mr Maisel?

AJ (A.pple J.uice)🍎 :

Corenswet is the best Superman. I’ll say it right now.

Floraplant🌺🪷🌿🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸🎆🌊 :

I love that this movie is pro-Palestinian!!!

Rita Rita :

People keep saying “James Gunn said it’s not about Israel.” Yall - he can’t openly ADMIT it. He even casted Bassam Yousef for a role initially (the man who is literally famous for his commentary on Palestine)! They ended up having to cut Bassam’s role because it made it too obvious. They are trying to get the pro-Palestine message out while still evading the possibility of censorship & pushback from higher ups by having plausible deniability

Taco :

Did the video randomly fast forward and skip for anyone else?

kneeeeeesplease :

I’m still gobsmacked that DC let him make a movie *this* pro-Palestine, whether intentionally or not. Either they’re really pro-Palestine themselves, or they’re so desperate for a win that they gave Gunn free rein to do literally anything he wanted, no questions asked 😂 I mean I’m happy either way.

He’s not Jewish his dad’s Jewish

just got out of the theater and omg was superman so peak im filled with so much hope

thehashslingingslasher55 :

I love this fact so much.

♖ :

seeing superman get genuinely upset, saying "PEOPLE WERE GOING TO DIE." just. man. it made me so unbelievably happy. this is who superman is supposed to be.

jhorrors :

Love his message at the end knowing this is his lineage 🙌🙌

raquelcamposmarti2 :

Free Palestine 🇵🇸

uhhh :

The whole message of your parents intentions for you do not define you was beautiful. So many of the most staunch supporters of Palestinian human rights are Israeli’s and Jewish people that have deconstructed Zionism, I specifically think of Israeli historian Ilan Papé, the Russian Jewish activist Andrey X, and the American Jewish poltical scientist Norman Finkelstein. The message was clear it is not your parents or your history that defines you but it is your actions and choices everyday that do.

Israel Is Evil :

F Israel

N A N Z :

I wish even one person involved in this movie would openly show support for Palestine. Cause right now they're being applauded for ultimately doing nothing.

Elliot✡️ :

Superman has always been so politically relevant

JD∆🇨🇦 :

and supermans parents wanted him to take earth as his own, which he refuses. the movie rocks
