We need worshippers who know they are warriors, not entertainers. 5 lessons every church worshipper & musician should know: 1. You must carry prophetic spiritual sensitivity. Worship is not about running through a set list alone, It is also being balanced in order to discern what the Holy Spirit is saying in the moment — please learn to pick signals! A worshipper must know when to linger, when to shift, and when to declare their songs.. Not every moment needs a chant. The songs you raise could become prophetic triggers that makes your pastor’s job easier when He is ministering to the Church. Healing and miracles can flow easily when you master this! Elisha said “Bring me a minstrel” and as the music played, the hand of the Lord came upon him in 2 Kings 3:15. 2. Live a life of consecration as a worshipper. Your purity behind the scenes fuels your power on the stage. The sound you release is only as clean as the vessel. Skill is important, but purity carries weight. David’s harp carried more anointing than Saul’s armor. If you are casual about sin, gossip, or pride, the atmosphere will always be polluted. You need to live like a Levite, so consecrated and clean. 3. Live in unity Division in the choir creates cracks in the atmosphere. Unity is the key that releases the glory of God! One heart, and one sound! Stop fighting the very people you’re supposed to win wars with. 4. Submit to spiritual authority Worship is priestly service, not performance. A worshiper that doesn’t submit authority, no matter how gifted you are, you will end up like Lucifer, so protect yourself from pride. True worshippers and musicians know how to stop when told, shift when directed, and flow with the vision of the church. 5. Minister with boldness Worship is warfare. You don’t need to be a timid worship leader, be are prophetic psalmist who declares God’s word in song. “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.” — Psalm 149:6 Selah.
