Then they call the ER and try to get it from us just to hear that we can't prescribe anything for a pet we've NEVER SEEN and yes, you have to pay the exam fee.

I literally had a lady call the other day who cussed me out cause I told her we can’t refill tea as one for a pet we haven’t seen in over 2 years and by the end of the call she realized she called the wrong hospital

One of my "favs" is .... I'm a regular client there and you take care of my pet. Can you get me in today? Look up records to find they switched vets years ago. "BUT THEY CAN'T GET ME IN FOR A MONTH!!!"

Yup I work at a vet primary and ER and yes this calls happen. Also, get mad for not being able to get them in when things have been going on for days with their pet.

so true I het calls like this regularly us reception. staff take a lot off the phone well if I pass it too a vet they will say the same thing dont think they believe us when we say it 😂

In the UK we have this for things like flea medication and controlled drugs. My cat was on Gabepentin which they had to take the animal into the vet and people were like this. We were ok becsuse she had to see her vet every month we were covered
