I’m a middle school teacher and I once had to ask an 8th grader if she was okay because she wouldn’t answer a simple question I was asking. I legitimately thought she might have been having a stroke the way she just deadpanned me.

dude at my new job, it’s a nicer place and their thing is “unobtrusive service”- so if a table ignores you when you try we are allowed to ignore them until they decide to let us give service. it’s so satisfying!

I work retail and they ignore my welcome ins, and then my can I help find anything and at the register I ask how they are and it's silence. then have to nerve to give me a bad rating on the survey saying I wasn't helpful and didn't great them. 😕

I’m an elder millennial raising gen z/a cuspers. We’ve made them order their own food since they could talk. And we encourage them talking to adults if they have a question or issue. They aren’t perfect. They’re still young. But they do it. Maybe these elder gen Zers weren’t taught that? Or maybe my kids will be just as bad when they get jobs no matter what they’ve been taught. 🤷♀️
