idk if you remember the Brony documentary but it was also heavily homophobic and pushed toxic masculinity. they wanted so bad to be seen as cool dudebros and different for liking ponies. it’s worse cause hasbro sold out to them and now barely cares about the series since the men left. it ruined my experience as a young girl who loved every generation of mlp

Hasbro has always been greedy, they saw bronies as an oportunity to sell more. They knew at the end of the day it was the adult men who were going to mass buy collectibles, exclusives, etc, other than little girls, who could only access toys with their parents money.

I think with fandoms such as bronies it should have stayed within their circles but some of them just had to being the fandom aspects and try to push it to the creators/VAs/etc such as mentioning really weird ask blogs to the VAs or generally not respecting boundaries of the VAs
