If you’ve deactivated channels 1&3 there’s no point in gaining the green channel individually, which also just happens to be the Sat channel of the HSV color model, not equal to density.

The reason is saturation slider boost color and Luma too (brightness), isolate the saturation (HSV) is indeed the best way to boost only colors.
