@_chelsea_brown_4: Today is a really big day for our sweet girl. 💕 She gave up her pacifier. To some, that might seem like a small thing… but for us, it’s huge. Our daughter was adopted out of foster care. She came into our lives when she was just 2 days old, born with drugs in her system. As a NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) baby, we knew from the very beginning that self-soothing might be a challenge. Her pacifier became more than just a comfort—it was a tool that helped her feel safe, calm, and regulated. We never rushed her. We waited patiently—through every stage, every nap, every tough moment—until she was ready. And today, she told us she was. On her own. 💪 We are so proud of her strength, her voice, and her heart. This milestone may be small to the world, but in our home, it’s a celebration of growth, healing, and courage. 💗 Keep shining, baby girl. Allah told Musa to throw away his staff, the thing he relied on daily, and then pick up a snake. And that is exactly what iman asks of all of us. Ousama Alshurafa uses one of the most vivid moments in the story of Musa (peace be upon him) to explain something about the nature of true faith that cannot be reached through logic alone. The staff was beneficial. Musa knew it, used it, depended on it. Throwing it away made no sense. And then to pick up a snake, something visibly harmful and dangerous, made even less sense. But Allah was not asking Musa to make sense of it. He was asking him to follow the command regardless of what his eyes were telling him. Because what the eyes perceive, the apparent benefit and the apparent harm, is not the full picture. Allah is the One controlling everything behind what appears.
