All jokes aside it’s honestly really dangerous. I’m in ML (AI) research and am starting to see more and more psych journals posting about how ChatGPT is enabling dangerous behaviours and creating confirmation biases. Atm we’re trying to figure out (in conjunction with some psychs and neuroscienctists) a way to have effective reinforcement learning (basically like training the model with thumbs up and down) without “rewarding” the model for just telling us what we want to hear. Shit’s hard man.

you can add an instruction in the settings how chatgpt answers you... just type something like: i want a straight answer, stop overexplaining things and immediately start with the important part of the answer, dont make up answers, if you dont know the answer, just tell me instead of lying. that helped immensely (ofc my real prompt is much longer)
