maybe that will hype the community neighborhood to start fixing and upgrading that Entire strip a well while they are at it San fernando should clean up to. Stone oak is privileged the one on wilderness oak and outside 281. My family lives out there so I've seen those stores. I worked at Alon they cater to Jewish community if your familiar with the community . They have the rabi that checks in, the bakery there has a 2nd bakery in the same dept for the Jewish community it's. hidden in the back, I know because I cake decorated there this community was already there when it was an Albertsons down the road. but H.E.B. try to do cultural for all locations. POTRANCO does BBQ. the Banderas, culebra use to look festive, the badgers 410 Market. that's what makes them unique.

I really hope the city also invests in the west side in general. This specific HEB is considered a “ghetto” store, the whole neighborhood is considered “ghetto”. It gets treated like so and ultimately forgotten about. There’s a large community on native San Antonian’s living in this area, they deserve the love and treatment that Alamo ranch gets when it comes to infrastructure and housing.

The thing about HEB is they treat the pooor like the poor -they cater to north side- which is fine if we had competition in the grocery market but we don’t so they need to do better for the south east and west side

I work for Costco I understand retail business but THIS IS A NEGLECTED BY HEB,The owner is a good man but his top managers are all white and are biased even the hiring process are biased,when the built the Alamo Ranch store they hire only white ppl when they hire in S.S.only hire Mexicans 😡HEB has dark stories,the Las Palmas neglected is just a scratch of HEB

if your really from the hood you would know there have been changes made. nothing huge but back in the day they actually had a drive up spot where the older people(or anyone) could load their stuff up, they changed it and put in the cart thing right up from with a few benches. but it is time for an upgrade.

the biggest problem at this location is the parking but what I'm surprised about is why they didn't buy the property where luby's was at and turned that to curbside that would have been the perfect thing for curbside
