I was 16 on opening night of SW and sat front row right (the only seats left) and when the Imperial Cruiser came on the screen in the opening shot, it started with the pointed nose then got larger and larger, with more detail. You felt the enormity of the ship compared to the much smaller cruiser. The whole audience was like “wow” We were hooked. We had never seen anything like that before. And I haven’t felt that way in a movie since. It’s one of my core memories. And yes, Han shot first.
