Mostly Chimes || I know it’s long but please watch :D took forever This show means so much to me. Editing it has made me appreciate it in ways I didn’t expect. Is it the deepest, most intellectual series ever? No. Did it get rushed at the end? Unfortunately. But even with its flaws, you can’t deny the beauty in it. The raw emotion—both sub and dub—pulls you straight into the hearts of the characters. I’ve watched anime and read manga where I never connected to a single person. But in JJK I can feel something even for a character who only gets fifteen minutes of screen time. It tackles trauma, grief, depression, and loss. Family conflict, but also found family, friendship, and love. We get the hellos, the goodbyes, and the “see you agains.” What grips me most is the humanity—the way every character faces challenges and deals with emotions differently. We see growth, corruption, resilience, and collapse. In the montage section, I tried to pick emotions and struggles that felt true to each character in those moments. Sometimes it’s not exactly an emotion, but a challenge they were facing, a piece of who they are. I wanted to cover as many characters as I could. If one of your favorites didn’t make it in, it’s just that I couldn’t find the right word for me that truly fit. Truthfully, I struggle with sorting emotions being neurodivergent, so I’m sure a lot of these scenes could be interchangeable. Someone else might put them in a different order entirely. But that’s what I love—how personal it all feels. In the end, they were just kids. Kids doing their best to navigate an unfair world. And maybe that’s why it hurts so much—because behind the battles, the strength, the tragedies, you can still see the laughter, the awkwardness, the innocence they should’ve had more time with.
