Scarlett :
Facts! I practice witchcraft and make my own rules, therefore I am a witch. I love learning about Hoodoo but I'm not religious, that's why I don't practice. Simple.

🪞HoodooHedge🌿 :
Our ancestors chose not to adopt their master's religion; instead, they concealed their witchcraft within the framework of Christianity to protect themselves. We no longer need to hide within a religion. Regardless of the label we use, we are practicing magic Hoodoo, which is essentially the manipulation of energy. This does not diminish our Hoodoo identities as Black Americans who identify as witches, mystics, or enchantresses. As long as we continue to pull from our ancestral source we good, that's the freedom our ancestors would want for us.

Buckle up. I got quite a bit to say so I definitely identify as a witch. However, I have been telling people more recently that I’m a hoodoo woman/practitioner. In addition, I have been feeling this need to go back to the church, but I’m fighting it because I have a lot of religious trauma OK right hold that now mind you today before I even saw this video. I was thinking to myself about the differences between witchcraft and hoodoo and how when I do something ancestral that it feels so different from doing witchcraft or deals however, I do often tend to mix the two though they don’t always mix with every spell or working.
