@runfordearbornmayor: Public Statement Regarding Misuse of Authority by Dearborn Police Department Officers I am issuing this statement to formally address and expose a deeply troubling matter involving two officers of the Dearborn Police Department. It has come to my attention and I have reason to believe that these officers are abusing their authority by using their badges to deliberately target individuals without legal justification. Such conduct constitutes a violation of civil rights, a breach of public trust, and a threat to the integrity of our justice system. no badge grants a license to intimidate, harass, or retaliate against members of the community. Law enforcement officers take an oath to uphold the Constitution not to serve personal agendas or political retaliation. This is a warning to those abusing their power: I will not remain silent. I am taking all appropriate legal and administrative actions to hold these individuals accountable, including formal complaints with oversight agencies, preservation of evidence, and federal review if necessary. To the residents of Dearborn: I will continue to stand up for transparency, justice, and your rights. I urge anyone who has been similarly targeted or mistreated to come forward and report it.
