This is really great advice! I did this almost verbatim at a couple of companies, and it definitely puts you on the leadership radar; although, I didn’t really get more money and I just left for other companies. I honestly prefer to focus on getting to a new company straight away as it just simpler. If we’re taking hicol, 125K is where jumping is easier and faster than getting much more from the current place; but not once you’re more senior, might worth the hustle.
