It actually is not the security person’s job to carry luggage up and down metro stairs for passengers. Why would you think k it is? Use the elevator if there is one or don’t pack more than you can carry

I always bring a spare pair of eyeglasses. prescription sun glasses in carry on rent an Airbnb with a washer, ergo less luggage I spend time in Lisbon an know it well I Uber when arriving cause I'm so wiped out An metro is quite good AC for summer is a must April to october

The only thing I wish our flight to Europe was only seven hours from the West Coast to Greece. It’s 14 hours. Enjoy your trip in Portugal. It’s a beautiful country.

Their metro system is actually quite straightforward. There’s only one direct line from the airport, so you must have transferred incorrectly (right of passage!)…just turn yourself around instead of giving up! But also, download Bolt instead of Uber — you usually get discounts off your first rides and it’s dirt cheap to begin with. Enjoy Portugal!

Good for you!! I just got back from my first solo trip to Europe including Portugal! At least all the hiccups make for a good story and is part of the journey! Absolutely loved Portugal - the hills are no joke and my own ignorance assuming everyone knew English (my own ignorance 😂). Solo travel is the best!!
