The old tester was honestly much more reliable, used to be a csm . There was a day where a redshirt said a lady came in because the dealer down the street said the battery was bad. I personally knew the guys at the dealer . Gave them a call , got curious and happen to still have the old tester and what do you know the battery was bad and the test coil was heating up .

Worst part about these older people is they’ll let the car sit for 6 months, batteries dead of course, demand a new battery and install, then do it again and claim it’s the battery “iv never had this happen with other batteries”, we swapped a ladies battery 8 times, we logged odometer each time, she had put less than 70 miles in nearly 3 years, corporate kept having us replace it because she was always angry.
