People keep commenting why is she living alone or why she isn’t living with them, but it’s not that easy because you can’t make them do something they don’t want. My grandfather is starting to be forgetful and pay his bills and we intervene but he doesn’t allow us to do much. The good thing is he has allowed a family member to move in so they’re keeping an eye on him but he is stubborn.

The grandmother said I let them stay with me and basically even told the police that her kids does not come and take care of her so I’m confused and also they said they have power of attorney but didn’t provide it . Something doesn’t sound right.

So where is the power of attorney paperwork? Cops didn’t verify? How can a stranger be staying there and the daughters not know? Something doesn’t quite add up. Those girls don’t visit their mother and that’s a problem

And you see how the mother is saying she’s giving them permission to stay there and I guarantee you she’s taking care of everyone and that house it don’t have anything to do with the daughters. It’s only so much you can do with power of attorney believe me, I know, and the way the grandmother is talking, any court would say she’s capable of there by herself

My grandmother had dementia and she owned her own house. She did not want to leave, and we could not make her leave. They do have caretakers, but if they do not want the caretakers in their home, the law at the end of the day is up to the person with the dementia to decideand that’s crazy
