@paigespeeps625: Have any of you ever had this problem with your chickens? 🐓 #chickensoftiktok #backyardchickens #raisingchickens #chickenkeeping #homestead #farmlife #surprise
My chickens get this in the winter sometimes, yes warm soak and work it off with just your hands, dont use tools

Happens to us after major rain. I put a warm washcloth on them and let it soften them.

That happened to our chickens and we soaked their feet in warm water. This made them softer and easier to remove.

When I was working on a farm in Sweden I saw this too! I asked the owner but she didn’t care so I cleaned those who got the worst, she had about 100 chickens and so many had this and she didn’t do anything about it. I stop t working on the farm after that. Sorry for my English🫣

Same thing happened to our chickens, we bought a house and it came with the chickens and they were all in a very small coop, a muddy coop and all of the chickens had those on them and we had to cut them off
