Esoteric Transmissions :
If it is a 6L80 the torque converter will have to be replaced and then it can be permanently addressed with hp tuners. If it is an 8L45/8L90 equipped vehicle simply changing the fluid and filter will rectify the shudder. 8 speed torque converters do not ever fail the way 6 speeds do.

I was told it was the way I drove. The engineer came out and looked at it and said it was normal. I called BS but nothing was done. 2022, GMC Sierra AT4.

the shops ive taken my ride to that has this problem say that just replacing the tourque converter will not solve the issue long term cause of all the little shaving from a slipping tourque converter puts into the trans crevices. They say to replace the entire trans.

proper trans tuning will fix the majority amount of issues the 6l80e has. disable convertor lockup in 1-4 gears.
