@bxpica55o: I Became a Minimalist and realised just how little i needed to spend my hard earned money to validate parts of me that succumbed to childhood trauma. i became unstoppable the moment i didn't need a label to label me. #health #budget #southafricatiktok #mzansitiktok #fyp #minimalism

This is actually powerful, in 2023 I started saving some money. Three months ago my car broke down, the normal me could have gone to my savings or went to find small loans. Guess what, I just parked that car took a taxi to work and started saving towards fixing it, without tapping into my savings. like I have almost 100k in my savings but I know the goal is bigger than me having to have that car now.

Relocating to another country taught me this!! Got rid of almost everything I owned (including my expensive clothes and furniture). I’ve survived a full year with bare minimum but still had the best year of my entire life 🥺🥺. I’ve had to enjoy not being seen & just being me!

I have more than 1 car but I still used Uber (stopped recently) and CAN use a taxi at anytime.I only use my cars when my husband is around or taking me somewhere and since 2018 when I bought my first car I still feel like I am not attached to any.Even if I am to go broke, nobody will notice including myself 😅.

Ey! It took me a while to get here, debt free except for bond. I was thinking of buying a new car and moving to the North Jhb kodwa I was like why?! My flat has enough space, it's cheap. Car is paid off. I just got into investing in the stock market instead; and I'm slowly building something. No one can see it, it's mine. I'm at peace.

I have reached that stage. I am no longer interested in being a consumer, what I spend money on now is food, fuel, insurance and occasional travel. The clothes that I have, furniture and appliances are going to be used until retirement. Bulk of my earnings, goes to investments and savings.

The most important thing in life is to realise that you are lucky to be where you are and it’s Gods grace and not because you are special. That way you never want to be better than others in material things, instead you learn to share your success

I'm from deep in North West rural & my friends always ask me how am I able to live with the rural slow pace in Pretoria to this day 🤣 lol I just say "GP needs you to have a strong backbone or else peer pressure will fly away with you". Been cruising nicely in Pretoria since 2014 with my slow rural life mentality, I'm a minimalist and have no friends here, if I'm not at home, I'm either at work or at school, peaceful life. 🤗

In my opinion, minimalism is the way to go. However, I want and need all the money I can get. I also want reasonable materials. Building oneself also includes the accumulation of meaningful materials, coz we have to live reasonably. The main thing is knowing who you are with and/or without those materials. So, I encourage people to gather meaningful/reasonable resources that makes their lives easier.

one thing about having all these materials things you then still feel miserable inside, the a new pair of shoes brings excitement only for a little while then you are back empty again... I wish human kind can learn a lot about this and until u go past it and experience it, then u will understand better.
