anyone had the belt experience from their dad? because i did. it hurt abit but i would never allow him to see weakness so i would just laugh or smile then he’d do it again so id laugh again and after a while it just freaked him out and he stopped

The only time my older sister ever hit our mum back, mum punched sis (16) in the face, threw her between the bed and the concrete wall. And when sis ran to the bathroom to wash the blood off her face, our mother used that as an opportunity to announce her pregnancy, and then guilt-trip sis about hitting a pregnant woman The way that woman always makes herself the victim in any scenario should be fkn studied.

I was being a shitty teenager... middle of Sears... mum backhanded me... nose bleed... I just look at her and say loudly... Are you proud of yourself?... the collective ohhhhh... was deafening... never was hit again.

I had a crazy mum too and while she never touched me, she'd do everything else. One day she was berating me and 17 year old me just had enough. I picked up a snow globe and threw the snow at the wall behind her. She just stood there in shock. When abusive family realise you're strong enough to fight back it's priceless.

SAME. 15 as well. maybe that's the age our brains just snap and can't take it anymore. she never hit me in the face again. she now denies she ever beat us or did anything wrong. none of her children will speak to her.

My mother would threaten to run the car into oncoming traffic when I was too old for her to openly hit (13 or 14 years old). I will never drive a car. I highly encourage going no-contact with parents like these, I’m 12 years no-contact and I am SO much better for it.

I had a cousin who my aunt beat up from about the age of 5, with all sorts of objects, from tree branches to ironing cords. At 12, she beat him for poor grades in school, and when she was done, he looked at her with dead eyes and told her that was going to be the last time she touched him because if there was a next time, he was going to sl!t her thr04t in her sleep. She never touched a hair on his head again.
