Why don’t people resurface them anymore? I did that but some shops got rid of their lathes and just buy new rotors every time

this is nothing new, this method of it is outdated though. on car brake lathes are better for rotors and brake pads. all car dealers service departments use them

those machines are ancient lol, they made a machine like 20 years ago that you can cut the rotors while they're still on the car

I always surface them. Even new ones. I’ve had brand new ones from the dealer that were wonky a few times.
