I’m 9 weeks but feel like I have got no where. I still love him I still miss him well who I thought he was. I only had 8 months with him and feels like I’ll never get over him. I’m sad everyday not a hour goes by that I don’t think about him. Why am I like this?

I just wanted to share some thoughts about what you're going through. After a breakup, it's completely natural to experience a whirlwind of emotions some good, but mostly difficult. These feelings are part of the healing process, and through them, you learn a lot about yourself. You grow stronger and wiser, gaining clarity about what you truly want in a partner moving forward.
Losing someone who was not only a partner but also your best friend is incredibly painful, and it's okay to mourn that loss. Remember, over time, the pain will lessen. There will always be a soft spot in your heart for what you shared, but gradually, that spot will become a place of cherished memories rather than pain.
Take your time to heal you'll emerge from this even more resilient and self-aware.

It’s been six months for me, and I had the same feeling you have now. But three days ago, I found out he’s in a new relationship, and it makes me sad. I know the relationship wasn’t good, but it still hurts… I can’t help but feel like it was all my fault. It feels like an old pain that still hasn’t fully healed. Things were going so well.

I’m slowly getting over it slowly but there’s still triggers to the sadness but I’m constantly moving forward and starting to get myself out there doing things I would never have done before

I cannot relate more! I'm so proud of myself moving on the most healthy and right way possible for me. Being sober, feeling every bit of emotions, and focus on being who I am. Now I see it clearly.

Healing often happens quietly—so quietly you don’t notice it until one day you realize the weight you carried is finally lighter 🥰
You might enjoy my books. I included a few good advices from a long series of experiences.
